Is the nominee or company nominating a member?  
Only members of the Property Council of Australia are eligible to enter. Non-members may refer to the Property Council website for information on how to become a member.

What is the criteria for each award category?  
Read the relevant award category criteria before starting your online submission which are downloadable from our awards website.   

TIP: Go to the Award Categories page, then select the category you wish to nominate.

What questions will be asked in the nomination form? 
The category criteria documents provide a preview of the questions that will be asked as part of the online nomination form.  

TIP: Use the category criteria documents as a guide when collecting the information you need to complete the nomination form.

What type of images must be supplied?
All nominations must include 4-6 high resolution images. Photos must be submitted as follows:

  • Landscape
  • Minimum of 2,000px wide
  • .jpg format
  • 300dpi
  • Maximum file size of 5MB

Photos copied into a word document will not be accepted. 

TIP: When selecting your images, think about images you would use to promote your nominated person or project.

What is the age criteria for the Future Retirement Living Leader award?
All nominees are required to be 35 years or younger as at 30 June 2020. Ensure you have your nominees year of birth ready to provide in the online nomination form.

Can I save my online submission and come back to it later?
Absolutely, you can save your online nomination and come back to it later if you don’t have all the information you need to begin. You can sign-in to the portal using your user account at any time up until 1 July 2020, to complete and submit your nomination. 

TIP: Once you submit your entry, you can still print, review and edit your submission up until 5pm AEST, Wednesday 1 July 2020. 

Didn't submit an Expression Interest but have a great person or project to nominate?
Not a problem! Nominations are not required to have been submitted during the Expression of Interest phase. It is a process we have to ensure your entry will be eligible before you complete the nomination process. 

TIP: New nominations are still welcome up until 5pm AEST, Wednesday 1 July 2020. To check eligibility, please review the criteria in the category criteria documents which you can find on the website. 

Can’t meet the nomination deadline? 
Unfortunately, extensions will not be granted as judging will commence immediately after nominations close. We encourage you to start collating your submission information now using the Criteria Document as a guide. 

Tip: The sooner you start collating information about your nomination, the easier it is to meet the nomination deadline.

Does it cost to nominate? 

The cost to nominate in the following project categories is $800 including GST per nomination: 

  • Keeley Green Interior Design Award for Best Refurbishment 
  • Award for Retirement Living Innovation 
  • Award for Marketing Excellence 
  • Award for Design Excellence 
  • Award for Best Retirement Living Development 

The cost to nominate in the following people categories is $150 including GST per nomination: 

  • Programmed Award for Village Manager of the Year 
  • Ingenia Communities Award for Future Retirement Living Leader 
  • Imagine Projects Award for Salesperson of the Year



Who judges the awards?

Our esteemed judging panel comprises of highly experienced and respected retirement living professionals with representation from around Australia. The decision of the judging panel is final and no communication will be entered into concerning the final decisions. The judges reserve the right to move a nomination to another category if appropriate and the nominee will be advised by a representative of the Retirement Living team if this action is deemed necessary. Why are the criteria weighted?

The criteria are weighted to give entrants an understanding of what the judges will be focusing on. This weighting is also reflected in the judging score sheets. Each award category has different weightings. Please view the Award category criteria documents which can be downloaded from the Award Categories page on this website to view the weightings relevant to the category of your interest. Is the Property Council holding its events business-as-usual in light of the outbreak of COVID-19 coronavirus?

The Property Council has reviewed business operations in light of the rapidly evolving situation around the outbreak of COVID-19 coronavirus.
We have been following very closely the official public health advice from governments as well as taking into account the steps being taken by many of our members to support their people and business operations.
The health and well-being of our members, staff and industry colleagues is our top priority, while also keeping a very clear focus on how we continue to support our members during this unprecedented period.
The Property Council has postponed all face-to-face conferences and events current scheduled up to 30 May 2020.
The 2020 National Retirement Living Summit and National Retirement Living Awards, however, will proceed as scheduled on 23-25 November 2020 and nominations for the National Retirement Living Awards 2020 have been extended and will now close on 1 July 2020. When is the 2020 Gala Dinner?

The 2020 National Retirement Living Awards will be held at a Gala Dinner during the National Retirement Living Summit on Tuesday 24 November 2020. The venue is the Royal Pines, Gold Coast.

Tickets will be available as part of the registration for the National Retirement Living Summit. Additional tickets can be purchased separately on this website from July 2020.

No – you must purchase a separate ticket to attend the National Retirement Living Summit.

Yes, You can purchase your National Retirement Living Awards Gala Dinner ticket separately or as part of a full conference registration for the National Retirement Living Summit.
